A United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V Rocket has successfully launched a signals interceptor satellite for the United States National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). A couple of hours after launch, the successful deployment of the spy satellite into a Moniya orbit was confirmed.

The launch was the 25th successful mission ULA has completed for the NRO. It was also ULA’s 121st consecutive successful launch and the 73rd straight successful launch of the Atlas V.

The next ULA launch is scheduled for October 5th, when an Atlas V rocket will blast off from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida with another classified NRO payload.
